The meeting was attended by representatives from the National Medical Research Centre for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I.Kulakov of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, who presented their findings on the expression of transforming growth factor beta receptors in placental samples under normal conditions and in cases of preeclampsia.

On September 1st, a new season of the open Student Research Paper Competition (SRPC) started. This competition is aimed at developing the potential of university students who are interested in academic activities. Students, as well as 2023 graduates of Russian and foreign universities, can submit their papers for the competition until October 15th, 2023. This year SRPC turns 20 years old, throughout the competition’s history, Vadim Radaev, HSE University’s First Vice Rector, has been the chair of the organising committee. In today’s interview, he talks about the history of the competition and the key stages in its development.

On December 10, a meetup for master's programs applicants took place in the HSE Culture Center. The Department of Biology and Biotechnology presented the renovated master's program 'Cell and Molecular Biotechnology'.
On October 26, 2022, a lecture by Dmitry Rogozhnikov, a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Biological Chemistry at Oxford University, was held at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology on 'Tissue Engineering Techniques Using Click Chemistry'.
Laboratory for Research on Molecular Mechanisms of longevity, in collaboration with other departments of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology (HSE University), developed the COVID-19 T-cell atlas - a comprehensive web portal, which allows to analyze how SARS-CoV-2 mutations change the presentation of viral peptides.
