The story of genetics becomes captivating when it explores ancient mummies and the morals of Egyptian pharaohs, rather than simply discussing wrinkled peas. Konstantin Valeryevich Krutovsky, professor at the University of Göttingen in Germany, professor at the Department of Genomics and Bioinformatics of the Siberian Federal University and leading researcher at the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, started teaching genetics to students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology this year.
