On February 11, 2026, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin presented the Moscow Government Prizes for Young Scientists for 2025. Among the 77 laureates was Evgeny Knyazev, Associate Professor of the Basic Department of the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry RAS at HSE University's Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, and Head of the Molecular Physiology Laboratory. Evgeny Knyazev was awarded for a cycle of research on the role of microRNA in the mechanisms of development and diagnostics of oncological, viral and inflammatory diseases, and preeclampsia.

Studies of molecular mechanisms of longevity make it possible to explore the potential for a significant increase in life expectancy, including active longevity, when older people maintain their ability to work and sustain social connections. HSE University and the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Centre of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology have signed an agreement on scientific and practical cooperation. The document was signed by Nikita Anisimov, HSE University Rector, and Nikolay Grachev, Director General of the Centre.

On May 30, 2025, a general meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) announced the results of the elections for its full and corresponding members. Around 1,800 individuals took part in the voting. Among those elected this year are scholars from HSE University.
