A student of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology took part in the All-Russian Forum ‘Arctic. The ice has moved’
Mikhail Dulesov, a 1st year student of the Cell and Molecular Biotechnology programme, visited the All-Russian Youth Forum ‘Arctic. The ice has moved’. The forum was held from 30 May to 3 June 2024 in Arkhangelsk under the auspices of the federal agency ‘Rosmolodezh’, it was attended by 450 young people from all regions of Russia.
Mikhail took part in a roundtable discussion on the development of agriculture in the Arkhangelsk region and presented a report ‘Genetic engineering of plants, debunking myths, experience of other countries, prospects in Russia’. During the 5 days of the forum the participants visited a salmon farming reproducing the population of valuable fish, algae extraction and processing plant, as well as the laboratory of microclonal plant propagation located in the Northern (Arctic) Federal University.
