Meetup for Master’s Programs Applicants

On December 10, a meetup for master's programs applicants took place in the HSE Culture Center. The Department of Biology and Biotechnology presented the renovated master's program 'Cell and Molecular Biotechnology'.

At the meetup students had an opportunity not only to get acquainted with different educational programs for master's degree and ask questions during the Q&A session, but also to attend the panel discussion 'Master's degree programs for life in the new reality', presentations of departments and educational programs, TED-lectures 'Skills for life in the new reality' and to participate in public talk with the Admission Committee.

 

At the presentation, Irina Polikanova, deputy dean, presented the Department of Biology and Biotechnology of the HSE in the block 'Universe. Matter. Structure'. Irina spoke about specific aspects of the renovated master's program 'Cell and Molecular Biotechnology', which will include in its program both the track 'Biotechnology and Bioeconomics', which was previously the main track and focused on the development of startups, fund raising, patenting and commercialization of scientific research and management in the field of biotechnology, and also the new track 'Biotechnology and Bioengineering', intended for students with a biological background and aimed at developing practical skills of working in a modern laboratory and conducting world-class research in the field of molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology and biomedicine.
