A new year opens the doors to the world of molecules: an exciting start to faculty days!

Details from the spot

In January, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology launched an exciting series of practical classes for NRU HSE lyceum students dedicated to mastering the basic methods of molecular biology. This block promises to be rich and colourful, opening prospects for future scientific discoveries.

The students dived into the world of molecules, having learnt the DNA restriction method - one of the key methods in molecular biology. The classes were led by Natalia Slobodova and Anastasia Koval. The participants not only observed, but also performed the procedures themselves: they isolated DNA and performed restriction, which gave them a unique opportunity to see how to work with genetic material.

This made them really excited and interested!

The Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology will continue to delight students with new and exciting classes, allowing them to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills as a ‘wet work’ biologist. Stay tuned!
