Life Sciences.’ This study, conducted with input from colleagues across different organizations, delves into personalized medicine by investigating the link between the genotype of the major histocompatibility complex I in diabetes patients and their COVID-19 outcomes. Weak binding of histocompatibility complex receptors to SARS-CoV-2 protein fragments has been linked to fatal outcomes. This data can guide treatment choices and serve as a model for treating other viral infections.
