Laboratory Head E. Knyazev Leads Interactive Discussion as Part of the Open Meetings of the Young Scientists Club

Ahead of the new academic year, Evgeny Knyazev, Head of the Molecular Physiology Laboratory at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, led an interactive discussion on "The Role of Scientific Conferences in a Scientist's Career."

The Young Scientists Club Open Meetings are part of the "At the Center of Science" project, organized by the Pedagogical Excellence Center and funded by a targeted subsidy from the Moscow Department of Education and Science. These meetings allow young scientists to become part of a unified community and discuss the most relevant topics from various scientific fields. The project's main goal is to create a large community where every participant can propose their ideas and receive support from their peers.

On August 30, 2024, Evgeny Knyazev led an interactive discussion on "The Role of Scientific Conferences in a Scientist's Career." Participants discussed why attending conferences is essential for career development, how support from colleagues and the laboratory can increase a young scientist's chances of success, the pros and cons of participating in scientific events, and how to select the right conferences and present effectively.
