Members of the Laboratory Molecular Physiology Participated in the Conference «Mathematics in Medicine»

II All-Russian Conference with International Participation 'Mathematics in Medicine' was held in Vladivostok From October 10 to October 15, 2022. Laboratory members D.V. Alekseev, A.V. Galatenko and V.M. Staroverov with co-authors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Lomonosov Moscow State University presented a talk 'A mathematical model of COVID-19 infection dynamics'.

Systems of ordinary differential equations are a natural model of a wide spectrum of processes including infection dynamics.  In the major part of research projects systems of equations are solved numerically. The talk was devoted to a number of analytical assertions on the properties of solutions of systems in two or three variables frequently used in publications on COVID-19 dynamics. In particular, the assertions explicitly express the moment of peak viral load and the moment of recommended end of isolation period.
