The idea of the experiment to study the induction of ferroptosis in breast cancer lines modified by knockdown of ELOVL5 and IGFBP6 genes was put forward. Associate Professor of the joint department Sergey Nikulin presented the results of the recently published work "ELOVL5 and IGFBP6 genes modulate sensitivity of breast cancer cells to ferroptosis" and formulated a possible plan of experiments for practical course.
